Friends of the Fiske
Genealogical Foundation

Happy shoppers at the Friends fund raising auction at Carolyn & Dick Blount's home.

 The Friends of Fiske Genealogical Foundation was formed almost ten years ago, in 1992, by a group of Fiske members who wanted to:
  • raise money to support the Fiske Genealogical Foundation,
  • disseminate information to the public about the Foundation, and
  • support the annual Family History Fair.

Over the years, the Friends have held many fund raisers for the Fiske Library including garage sales, auctions, and many tea and cookie events. This year, the Friends organized an auction of items donated by members. The auction and “social” was held at Carolyn and Dick Blount’s home on Capitol Hill. The Blount’s prepared a wonderful light supper, and about 40 Fiske members and guests brought desserts and snacks. This event generated about $1,800 for the library and provided a pleasant evening for all.
