Eastern Seaboard Tour

Sept. 21 to Oct. 5, 2002

A very exciting itinerary for a research trip to the Eastern Seaboard is finally complete. The group will depart with leader Betty Kay Anderson from Seattle by plane on the morning of Saturday, September 21, 2002 for a memorable two weeks.

The first stop will be the New York City, and a five night stay in the New Brunswick, New Jersey areas.

There will be daily (except Sunday) opportunities for research, as well as the choice to take non-research "tours" in the area. The next stop will be the eastern portion of Pennsylvania, particularly the areas around Philadelphia, Lancaster, Harrisburg, and Berks County. Again, there will be both sightseeing and research opportunities. On Sunday, September 29 the group will move to Washington DC for the final six nights of the tour.

Opportunities for research include the DAR Library, the Library of Congress, the National Archives, and the National Genealogical Society Library in Arlington Virginia. There will be an optional tour to Williamsburg and Richmond Virginia, as well.

The tour ends on Saturday, October 5 with the return flight from Washington DC to Seattle.

Cost will be about $1500, including air transportation, ground transportation and rooms for the full two weeks.
